• New Brand

  • What: The new brand (watch 45-second brand intro video and review the presentation deck)

Name: Doing business as "The Chamber" (legal name is still: The Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce)

Tagline: For a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro

Charge: Together, the name and tagline create a charge for the path ahead. "The Chamber - one thousand members, four promises, one purpose: For a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro."

Mark: The new mark features a central circle surrounded by a series of concentric C shapes, which represents The Chamber's home as Chapel Hill and its work radiating out into the greater community (Carrboro, Orange County, Chatham and beyond).

About the Brand: Together, the new name, tagline, and logo mark convey a contemporary new brand identity that reflects The Chamber’s warmth and strength, engaged and collaborative spirit, and passion for innovation and effectiveness.

About the Team: The Chamber worked in partnership with the Rivers Agency – a full-service integrated marketing firm based in Chapel Hill with world class clients including Bausch & Lomb and CREE – to create the new brand.

About the Process: The process included more than a year of board retreats, membership surveys, and discussions with key stakeholders, as well as consideration of more than two dozen creative concepts. The Chamber Board and staff selected and introduced the new brand to the full membership at the 2019 Annual Meeting.

Logo Usage: Current Chamber members in good standing may use the logo on their website and other materials after reviewing the Style Guide to ensure brand standards and compliance. There are four versions of the logo - select the one most fit for purpose:

Member Badge: In addition to the logo, The Chamber makes available to current members in good standing the use of a Member Badge, which works well as a window sticker or website decal. [Under Construction]
