On Oct. 16, the South Orange Rescue Squad is holding a block party to celebrate our 45th year of service!
The South Orange Rescue Squad is a non-profit organization that provides Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Orange County and the surrounding areas with technical rescue and emergency medical services. Every fall, we invite the public into our station to meet our volunteers and learn all about what we do.
This year is special-- we'll be pulling our trucks, ambulances, and equipment out for demonstration. Our friends at local fire, police and EMS agencies will bring their vehicles and equipment, too! We'll have interactive demonstrations-- like learning how to do CPR! And of course, we'll be passing out stickers, balloons, and free food and ice cream!
This event is free and open to the public. We welcome families with kids of all ages, and even dogs. All members of the community are welcome to join us as we celebrate our 45th anniversary!
