Media Tips for Non-Profits with Kevin Schwartz
Kevin Schwartz has spent 18 years as the director and general manager of The Daily Tar Heel. He was also owner, editor and publisher of the Outer Banks Sentinel, a bi-weekly community newspaper in Dare County, where he also served three years as government affairs director for the Outer Banks homebuilders, Realtors and chamber of commerce. He served three years on the board of the N.C. Press Association and he’s served on the board of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber, chairing its Government Affairs Committee before heading up the 2009 elections task force for the Economic Development and Public Policy Committee. He’s also worked as a reporter and editor for the Charlotte News and the Raleigh News & Observer.
