Event Description:

Organizational Assessments for Non-Profits

Non-profits should get a regular check-up on their organizational health. The Guided Organizational Assessment (GOA) is a diagnostic service that begins with an online survey tool designed to help you evaluate the state of your non-profit’s policies and practices relative to a set of non-profit best practices. The GOA can help you to assess your organization’s current status, and develop a prioritized plan to make improvements.

The organizational capacity model has six components generally recognized as necessary for high performance and effective leadership: 1) mission, vision and strategy; 2) governance and leadership; 3) program delivery and impact; 4) strategic relationships; 5) resource development; and 6) internal operations and management. These interdependent components all contribute to the health and performance of a non-profit organization.

With these recommendations in hand, you can create a practical plan to strengthen your organization in essential areas of non-profit business management.  The Non-Profit Roundtable will be led by Trudy Smith, Executive Director of Executive Service Corps of the Triangle.
