Event Description:
The Chapel Hill Police Department's Guardians of the Hill 5K run is scheduled for Saturday, October 27th. This event will be held at Southern Community Park in Southern Village and will benefit Special Olympics North Carolina. NC is proud to have one of the largest Special Olympics programs in North America.
Approxiamately 115 Law Enforcement Agencies across the state annually participate in events, such as the Law Enforcement Torch Run, that support the efforts of Special Olympics North Carolina. The Chapel Hill Police Department has been a proud supporter since the 1980s and has consistently remained on of the top five fundraising departments within the state, raising over 1,000,000 for Special Olympics North Carolina.
