Candle Lighting (part of Carrboro CHEER!)

Join us for this very special and festive, annual event with Townsend Bertram & Co that will kick-off a series of seven holiday events in downtown, known as Carrboro Cheer! Every year, Townsend Bertram & Co hosts an annual Tree Lighting celebration of the Post Oak in front of their store. Since the tree is under duress, TB&C will have hundreds of candles and invite the community to join together to bring light and love to the tree. The evening will begin at 6:30pm with a performance by Second Shift A Capella followed by Katharine’s Whalen’s Swedish Wood Patrol. Guests are invited to enjoy free hot cider, TB&C’s custom Post Oak IPA from Vecino Brewery, and snacks. Awesome raffle prizes will be available from sponsor, Oboz Footwear and 100% of the raffle funds will be donated to the tree.
