Black Umfolosi Founded in 1982 by school friends in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and named after their ancestral homeland along the Umfolozi Omnyama River in South Africa, Black Umfolosi combines spectacular acapella harmonies and exuberant dance into an spirited and engaging whole. Intricate rhythms, clicking and clapping blend with brilliant choreography and traditional Gumboot Dances of the South African mining regions in an energetic showcase of their musical heritage.
