3rd Annual "Life with No Limits" Gala

The UNC Center for Excellence in Community Mental Health (UNC CECMH) will hold the third Annual Fundraising “Life with No Limits” Gala at the UNC George Watts Hill Alumni Center on Thursday, November 17, 2016. The gala will feature musical entertainment, a reception and dinner. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Mike Veny, founder of TransformingStigma.Com, and a sought after mental health stigma expert, keynote speaker, and professional drummer. Proceeds from the event will go toward the funding and improvement of the Center’s programs.

At this year’s gala, we will be awarding an Advocacy award in Mental Health. The award is given to individuals who have worked tirelessly to lead the community in improving mental health through education, advocacy and pay tribute to those who have made a difference in the community on behalf of individuals with mental illness, as well as those who have worked to improve awareness of mental health issues. This year's advocacy recipients include all of the District 15-B judges who supported the Community Resource Court.
